Nice looking park, don't have kids but was busy.
A nice little walk around a small lake maybe 200 metres x 100 with plenty of spaces to fish with a local permit. It's clean and there are a few picnic tables and a nature trail. Information boards around the lake aimed at children. Also a reasonable play area near the car park at the top. There is a zip wire and lots of climbing things and baby swings. A cafe with outdoor seating and loos.Car park holds about 15 cars. A good little outing for an hour.
Lovely place 4 a picnic, in an area of natural beauty. Good work-out when pushing a wheelchair thou, as very hilly. X
What a fabulous walk. The lake and surrounding woodlands are very well kept, and the tea room by the children's playground at the top (open Thursday to Sunday) is brilliant - great coffee, ice cream, cake etc. Perfect for dog walking or keeping children busy.
