Much improved appointment waiting times and doctor and nursing services including local "minor ops".

Poor customer service. Rang today in great pain with 2 severely blocked ears due to earwax build up. Have already been to a walk in hospital to conclude that that is indeed the issue. They told me I needed to book in with my local Gp and get an Ear Irrigation appointment for the gp to remove the earwax so I did just that and I had the receptionist respond whats that? I explained what an ear irrigation is (which Im surprised this lady didnt know the treatments that her own practice provides) and she said, well we do ear syringing. Which Yes, that is the same blooming thing at this point I was feeling a little frustrated and felt like I was talking to someone badly trained. I have had time off work and Im in great discomfort, taking painkillers throughout the day to get the pain to subside. She then said she cant get me booked in for 3 WEEKS?!? Because apparently the ear wax wont be soft enough by the end of this week. And I asked her what I am meant to do with this terrible aching in my face and ear and she said well Im not sure what to recommend and I said well is there anywhere you can refer me to? And she said Im not sureUneducated and very unhelpful. There was long pauses throughout the conversation as I sat there baffled and there seemed to be no reassurance or help for an alternative from the lady on the other end of the phone. So I have had to book privately to get my ear sorted out and I was able to get a booking tomorrow morning. Yes I have to pay but so be it if Im in this amount of pain. I told this practice about my experience with this lady on the phone and this apparent 3 week wait and he said that is very excessive and no need for 3 weeks for the ear wax to subside. The nhs is rubbish and definitely need to train up there staff on customer service. Disappointed customer.

Always helpful, brilliant nurses and appointments easy to make at short notice.

Only recently registered here due to moving into the area but will be re-registering elsewhere already. Is very difficult to get appointments or even a call back, even when calling about young children. Once you have waited weeks for an appointment, you then have to wait ages in the waiting room to be seen - literally waited an hour in the waiting room on my last visit. Despite this, I was unfortunately 10 mins late to a recent appointment due to traffic and was refused to be seen and sent away! Had I have been on time, I have no doubt whatsoever that I would have still been sat waiting, as has been the case on every previous occasion.I appreciate that doctors surgeries in general are busy and under a lot of pressure but I have not had such a poor service with any other surgery I have ever been with previously, which I find particularly worrying being a young family.

The worst service you can get. I was having a bad reaction to the medication they had previously prescribed and needed to call them early so I knew what to do without missing a dose. Their phone was saying that the surgery was closed and will open at 8:30 until 9:30 and even then it took them 20 minutes to pick up the phone. This isnt because other people are in the queue, its just that they don't like answering the phone and are never at their desk. I eventually got through and they said they'd call back about it. Two days later and no call back so I've had to stop taking the tablets halfway through their course with no medical advice. Reregistering to a new GP, the fact one of their doctors is in prison is a fantastic reflection of this surgery.
