DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY-I've had two experiences, the first was poor, the second was appalling. The first one, I hired a Luton van to move home. One of the injectors was leaking diesel over the engine. They tried to fob me off by saying u hadn't put fuel in it. Unfortunately for them; my brother is a vehicle mechanic and they were put straight. I spent 40 on fuel to go to Windsor and back! The vehicle then broke down. They brought me a smaller van to replace it.The second experience was FAR worse. I phoned on the Friday to book a van for Sunday. They needed my NI number, driving licence details and payment, which we agreed I would bring on Saturday morning. On arrival, I was told that no paperwork had been prepared and that I couldn't have the vehicle on Sunday.If I could give this place a zero star rating, I would

We would like to point out that DVLA brought a ruling in in June 2015 which requires anyone hiring a vehicle from ANY hire company, needs to produce a code, in order to get the code from DVLA your NI number has to be produced. The customer can get the code themselves if preferred.We are not doing anything illegal as Mr Glasbys review seems to suggest.Wootton Bassett Service Station Ltd.

WARNING!! - for customers of the Van & Car Hire, this company regularly asks customers for their National Insurance number!!! and tell you you have to provide it to hire a vehicle!???.......I have checked with the DVLA, they have stated this is NOT the case, and customers should never divulge confidential information to people who have no right to have it!!
